As Head of R&D, CMC Strategic Sourcing & External Collaborations, Denis Croisat has more than 20 years experience in the field of outsourcing and CMO management, technologies scouting and Drug Delivery technologies. In his role, Denis is responsible for all Strategic Sourcing related activities within
CMC departments: Chemical and Process Development departments, Biotechnology Department, Pharmaceutical Sciences Development department. In 1991, after completing a Ph.D. in organic chemistry at the University of Paris, Denis joined Sanofi-Aventis and held different positions in Process Development and Industrial Affairs.
A strong combination of prospective strategic vision and a compelling business focus, linked with a strong operational background, have enabled Denis to implement strong strategic partnerships that focus on key deliverables which benefit patients in clinical trials.
Thanks to his long term efforts and contributions within CMC (and previously Industrial Affairs), he and his team have taken outsourcing and sourcing operations to a much more strategic level by
harmoniously leveraging internal and external capabilities in a timely fashion, without forgetting the fundamental change of mindset that is required within a conservative business environment.
Denis remains convinced that no modern company can survive in isolation, and he envisions more and new strategic moves in view of current CDMO consolidations and the opening of new, cutting edge scientific fields that the industry can embrace.
